Late Night

Sometimes the legislature works late, long into the night. Even after the lobbyists, staff, and other guests have all gone home, members of the House (usually) and Senate (sometimes) are there on the chamber floor, hashing out the details of bills that will affect our lives. We imagine that's got to be a lonely way to work, and so we're going to change that.

This will be the first of several opportunities for us to go back up to the Capitol after dark. From what we understand, the Capitol is still accessible to the public at those hours, so if either chamber is still in session when we finish the Capitol Crawl (around 9pm), we're going to go back to the Capitol to simply sit and observe the legislature in action. They'll be debating important stuff, and we want them to know that even thought it's late, we, the good people of Oklahoma, are still paying attention.
