Imagine a late night talk show, but with Oklahoma guests, talking about Oklahoma politics, and with Oklahoma musicians playing music you love. Right here in OKC. Oh, and it's free.
We’ll be joined by guests such as State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister, Representative Jason Dunnington, Senator AJ Griffin, the Journal Record’s Catherine Sweeney, longtime politico Ben Odom, and local actress Cacky Poarch. We’ll also have music from KC Clifford, Stephen Salewon, Joel T. Mosman, and Jabee. Avenue is serving as our house band, and the event will be hosted by Andy Moore & Scott Melson from Let’s Pod This. Along with all those interviews and musical guests, we’ll be sharing up-to-the-minute election results on important races.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of your political leaning. In fact, we're inviting candidates to actually have THEIR watch party at the Tower Theatre with us! Maybe we'll have one side of the room lit in blue lights and the other side lit in red lights, and then there in the middle - probably near the food will be a space for people from different perspectives to come together, grab a snack, and find things in common.
Is this a crazy idea? Maybe, but I'm willing to bet it's gonna be awesome. Stay tuned for more and more details as we get closer to Election Day.
(Tickets free and not required, but it really does help us plan for crowd size.)
